Clinical Operations Manager

Based in Auckland, New Zealand

Established in 1991 and with 7 Centres throughout NZ, Orthotic Centre New Zealand Limited (OCL) is the largest Orthotic Services provider in Australasia, managing in excess of 50,000 patient visits per annum

OCL works with various health professionals to deliver services to public health, private and ACC clients.  With a customer base that includes hospitals, private clinics, sports injury providers, physiotherapists, podiatrists, Orthopaedic consultants and other Specialists, OCL supplies clinical, product and manufacturing solutions in a vertically integrated model.  

We seek a dynamic and results driven Clinical Operations Manager to join our small Senior Management Team reporting to the CEO.

The role will have complete responsibility for both personnel and financial performance of the clinical team. There will be significant focus and involvement in the ongoing professional development of clinicians and seeking opportunities for growth.

Following a patient centric approach the Clinical Operations Manager will facilitate and co-ordinate across a number of key activities including the development of clinical networks, planned training and education, clinical protocols, recruitment, appraisals, customer reporting, evidence based outcomes and patient satisfaction and communication.

While a Healthcare background is desirable it is not a pre-requisite for accepting applications. The key attributes we seek include:

·      Understanding the individual needs, aspirations and personal situations of clinicians

·      Display strong ethics and integrity

·      Maintain good relationships with clinicians and maintain an open, positive and straightforward team culture through honest and personal interaction. 

·      Lead by example in terms of your own personal conduct and the way you work with clinicians.

·      Model and maintain the behavior that you expect from the various members of your team.

·      Develop a culture of accountability and autonomy.

·      Strongly encourage and implement good disciplines and practices

·      Conduct regular clinical sessions and monthly meetings

·      Have the ability to further develop a high performing professional team.
